Ernest D. and Vides King Scholarship

The Ernest and Vides King Scholarship was formed in memory of Ernest “Pete” and Vides King.  They were devoted supporters of our school and education by funding classroom supplies, the school track and scholarships.  They pushed our young people to value and get a good education.  They also enjoyed giving money to help students achieve their goals.  The Kings owned King’s Fish dock, King’s Fish Market, and King’s Motel.  Mr. King also served on the Bank Board and on the Board of Education at Engadine Schools. 

• a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00 (based on 7 semesters).
• have taken the ACT or SAT
• be admitted to a public college or university in Michigan.
• show a need for financial support.
• be willing to have a personal interview with the scholarship selection committee.
